Systems · Infrastructure · Decisions

I build systems
that explain themselves.

I treat infrastructure as a product: deliberate at the boundaries, legible under pressure, and honest about its trade-offs. This is where I make that standard visible.

The standard

Care is a technical decision.

Quality is not a finishing pass. It is the discipline of making intent, ownership, and consequences clear from the first decision to the final interface.

01 / Restraint

Complexity must earn its place.

Every layer creates a cost. I prefer the smallest design that preserves the right boundaries and leaves room to change.

02 / Legibility

The system should tell the truth.

State, failure, and ownership should be understandable without exposing the operational surface behind them.

03 / Finish

Quality includes what no one sees.

Security, recovery, accessibility, and documentation receive the same attention as the visible experience.

Evidence, not claims

A personal platform, held to a production standard.

RS Platform is a working study in boundaries: public cloud, a replaceable gateway, and a private edge designed as one understandable system.

The decision record

Architecture should leave a trail of reasoning.

I write about the constraint, the trade-off, the consequence, and what would change my mind. The result is not a stream of updates, but a record of judgment.

Read the decisions

The pipeline was the product

What an impossible forecasting problem taught me about evidence, operational boundaries, and knowing when to stop.

An architecture should be allowed to change

Superseded decisions are evidence of learning, not defects to hide behind a tidy final diagram.
